How to Create and Restore a VPS Snapshot

This guide explains how to create a snapshot of your VPS server and how to restore the VPS from an existing snapshot.

Snapshots are managed from the Snapshot tab in the Client Area.

⚠ Important

You can have only one snapshot per VPS. If you want to create a new snapshot and one already exists, you need to delete the existing snapshot first.

Open the Snapshot Tab

To manage VPS snapshots:

  • Log in to the Client Area.
  • Go to My Services.
  • Open your VPS service.
  • Go to the Snapshot tab.

Create a Snapshot

In the Snapshot tab, enter the snapshot name in the Snapshot Name field.

You can use any name that helps you identify the snapshot later.

After entering the snapshot name, click:

Create Snapshot

The snapshot creation process usually takes a few minutes.

After a few minutes, refresh the page and check the snapshot status.

When the snapshot status changes to READY, the snapshot has been created successfully and is ready to use.

ℹ Snapshot Status

If the snapshot is still being created, wait a few more minutes and refresh the page again.

Create a New Snapshot

Only one snapshot can exist for a VPS at the same time.

If you want to create a new snapshot and there is already one saved, you need to delete the existing snapshot first.

After the old snapshot is removed, you can create a new one from the Snapshot tab.

⚠ Snapshot Deletion

Deleting a snapshot is permanent. After the snapshot is deleted, it cannot be restored.

Restore VPS from a Snapshot

To restore your VPS from an existing snapshot, go to the Snapshot tab and find your saved snapshot.

Click the:

REINSTALL

button next to the snapshot.

You will need to confirm that you want to restore the VPS from the selected snapshot.

⚠ Data Loss Warning

Restoring a VPS from a snapshot will replace the current VPS state with the saved snapshot state. Any changes made after the snapshot was created may be lost.

After confirmation, the restore process will start.

The restore usually takes a few minutes.

When the VPS starts responding to ping and SSH works again, the snapshot restore has been completed.

Verification

✔ Snapshot Created

If the snapshot status is READY, the snapshot has been created successfully and can be used for restore.

✔ Snapshot Restored

If the VPS responds to ping and you can connect via SSH after restoring from a snapshot, the restore process has been completed successfully.
